What attire would be most appropriate to wear for this wellness retreat?

You may wear whatever would be most comfortable for you. Some of our activities will be lying down.  Please bring your own blanket and eye mask for added comfort.

What else should I bring?

We encourage you to bring your own travel/light blanket, eye mask, and water bottle. We will provide a notebook and pen for you. Packed lunch, refreshments, and snacks will.also be provided.

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is the process of using hypnosis to interact with and harness the power of the subconscious mind to create positive change in your life and help achieve your dreams.Through hypnosis, behavior can be modified by replacing old beliefs and behaviors that you no longer need or want with new ones  you desire. How does it feel to be hypnotized?

Hypnotic sleep is not the same as dream sleep. It is simply a state of relaxed focus or a heightened state of awareness. THE experience itself varies from person to person; some may feel parts of their body getting light or heavy, warm or cool and even a bit tingly. Some don’t feel anything at all. But most find it to be quite a pleasant and relaxing experience.

Is hypnotherapy safe? Is it mind control?

Hypnotherapy is perfectly safe with a trained hypnotherapist. The client is always fully aware and in control. No one can make you do anything you don’t want to do, even while in hypnosis.It simply facilitates positive change by accessing the subconscious mind with the help of the therapist- always with the permission of the client.

What can be managed by hypnotherapy?

It is an effective tool for dealing with vocational and avocational issues. Being in a hypnotic state and accessing the most powerful area of the mind- the subconscious -allows a person to be more suggestible to positive change and as such, has a long list of proven benefits, including, but not limited to the following :

It may not be applicable to someone  suffering from a mental or emotional disorder .
Hypnotherapy can, however, work as an adjunct therapeutic modality- but only with the proper medical referral from , and performed in conjunction with a psychotherapist or medical doctor’s treatment .
